Considering a Visit?

We are glad you are considering a visit. Our ministry is designed to partner with parents to help kids discover, embrace, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We recognize the challenge of raising children to know Christ in today's culture. We want to assist and encourage you in building a strong spiritual foundation for your children; working together to help children form a worldview that is distinctly God-honoring. We value the instruction of the Bible, the practice of worshipful lives, the development of Christian community, and acts of service. A variety of age-appropriate ministry opportunities are available to help your child develop as a fully-devoted disciple of Christ. Our staff is always available to you for prayer and encouragement, as well as answer any questions or concerns.

What Do I Need to Know?

Each Sunday staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful class experience for your children. Here are a few things you need to know to help us make the morning great. If you are a guest please visit the Information/Check-in Desk located at the main entrance of the children's building. This is where your children will be assigned to their classrooms. Team members will then escort each child to their room. Please complete the Sign-in Form if you have not done so already. It's important to inform us of any allergies or health concerns. Please pick up your child on time. Too early can disrupt the other children during their lesson.

Where Do I Check In?

In order to provide the safest environment for your children while in our care, we follow a strict check-in process. When your children arrive they will be checked-in at the front check-in desk and given a numbered security tag, which is placed on their shirt and diaper bag. You will receive a matching tag(s) that must presented at pick up. For safety and stability reasons we ask that parents check children at the check-in desk instead of going to the classrooms. Staff and host members monitor the entrance of Treasure Cove and Truth Quest before and after each service. All volunteers go through a detailed screening process and a criminal background check. We have security cameras in each classroon and hallways to ensure a safe and fun environment.

How Do I Enroll My Child?

All first time guests are asked to complete a Guest Registration Form located at the front desk of the children's building. Based on the ages, and developmental stages, your child will be assigned to a class and then escorted to the classrooms. When you visit again they will be checked into the same class previously attended. We hope you decide to make Lyons FBC your home. At that point your children will be added to the Sunday School roster.

How Can I Get Involved?

Every Sunday, volunteers show up and work together in a unique role to reate a loving environment for your children. Treasure Cove and Truth Quest is completely fueled by volunteers. We could not exist without their leadership and expertise. Some of their roles are:

  • TEACHERS - responsible to oversee and delegate within the classroom;
  • HOST TEAM MEMBERS - greet families as they enter Treasure Cove and Truth Quest;
  • WORSHIP LEADERS/BIBLE STORY TELLERS - present the lesson in a creative way so it captures the attention of every child

We would love to talk to you about joining our team. If you are interested and would like more information please contact Mitch or Kellie Bellflower or the front office.
